Pleac\u0103 la Paris \u00een 1930 \u015fi se ata\u015feaz\u0103 de Br\u00e2ncu\u015fi, omul care \u00eei pune \u00een m\u00e2n\u0103 un aparat de fotografiat, o unealt\u0103 capabil\u0103 s\u0103 re\u0163in\u0103 &#8211; spune sculptorul &#8211; insolitul. Brauner str\u0103bate bulevardul Montparnasse \u015fi fotografiaz\u0103 un cuplu de magicieni, spectatorii, \u00eemprejurimile. Ultima fotografie din set re\u0163ine o cas\u0103 &#8211; num\u0103rul este vizibil clar, este casa unde \u00ee\u015fi va pierde, peste ani, ochiul.<\/p>\n<p>Actul doi: \u00een 1931 \u00ee\u015fi picteaz\u0103 autoportretul; \u00eentr-un interviu televizat \u00ee\u015fi aminte\u015fte, \u00een 1960, c\u0103 se sim\u0163ea &#8220;vidat&#8221;. Un cerc de prieteni \u015fi cuno\u015ftin\u0163e din boema Parisului, o ceart\u0103 \u00eentre doi spanioli foco\u015fi pentru o femeie, o \u00eenc\u0103ierare, un pahar masiv de vin care zboar\u0103, aruncat cu furie. Brauner se pr\u0103bu\u015fe\u015fte, prietenii \u00eel ajut\u0103 s\u0103 se ridice, pictorul \u00ee\u015fi z\u0103re\u015fte fa\u0163a desfigurat\u0103 \u00eentr-o oglind\u0103.<\/p>\n<p>Accidentul \u00eel transform\u0103 pe Brauner irevocabil; devine obsedat de fantastic, de vis \u015fi de mistic. C\u0103uta\u0163i excep\u0163ionala &#8220;Prelude to a civilization&#8221; din 1954, tablou aflat la Metropolitanul din New York \u015fi ve\u0163i \u00een\u0163elege \u015fi ve\u0163i mai c\u0103uta.
