Desi<br \/>\nfascinat de toate aspectele credintei, tanarul isi foloseste<br \/>\nscepticismul ca pe o armura si nu ezita sa le spuna superiorilor ca<br \/>\nraspunsurile pot fi gasite mai degraba in tratamente psihiatrice<br \/>\ndecat in forte demonice si exorcizari.<\/p>\n<p>Insa Michael incepe sa isi puna la indoiala parerile din ziua cand<br \/>\nil intalneste pe parintele Lucas (Anthony Hopkins), un preot<br \/>\nlegendar pentru miile de exorcizari facute de-a lungul<br \/>\ntimpului.<\/p>\n<p>Ajuns fata in fata cu un caz de posedare atat de puternic incat si<br \/>\nparintele Lucas pare sa fie depasit, Michael incepe sa vada ca<br \/>\ndincolo de explicabil exista fenomene pe care nimeni nu poate sa le<br \/>\ncontroleze sau sa le inteleaga.
