Pana in<br \/>\nprezent, numele avionului a fost E-111.<br \/>\n&#8220;Realizarea unui aparat din seria I.A.R. este o sansa de care orice<br \/>\nconstructor de aeronave din lume ar fi mandru. I.A.R.-111 va trebui<br \/>\nnu numai sa contribuie la continuarea traditiei numelui I.A.R.<br \/>\n(Industria Aeronautica Romana, n.r.), ci si sa reprezinte aeronava<br \/>\ncare sa zboare mai sus si mai repede decat predecesoarele sale,<br \/>\najutand astfel la progresul Romaniei.
