Aceast\u0103 descoperire d\u0103 \u015fi un r\u0103spuns la problema dat\u0103 de uniformitatea (sau lipsa acesteia) temperaturii la nivelul \u00eentregii coroane.<\/p>\n<p>IRIS este capabil s\u0103 analizeze zona intermediar\u0103 dintre suprafa\u0163\u0103 \u015fi coroan\u0103, put\u00e2nd m\u0103sura mi\u015fcarea gazelor cu o precizie mult mai bun\u0103 ca observatorii de dinainte.<\/p>\n<p>Paola Testa, cercet\u0103torul de la Centrul de Astrofizic\u0103 Harvard-Smithson care a condus acest proiect, men\u0163ioneaz\u0103 c\u0103 \u201edeoarece IRIS poate observa zona de tranzi\u0163ie de zece ori mai bine ca instrumentele precedente, suntem capabili s\u0103 vedem materialul fierbinte migr\u00e2nd \u00een sus \u015fi \u00een jos \u00een c\u00e2mpul magnetic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Acest observator, de la lansarea sa \u00een 2013, a ajutat \u015fi la descoperirea fl\u0103c\u0103rilor intermitente minuscule (nanoflares), unde Soarele elibereaz\u0103 energie prin trimiterea de plasm\u0103 incandescent\u0103 \u00een atmosfera superioar\u0103.
