Steaua care se na\u015fte atrage \u015fi mai mult praf \u015fi gaz din jur, datorit\u0103 gravita\u0163iei, cre\u00e2nd gradual un disc de agregare \u00een jurul s\u0103u, care se \u00eenv\u00e2rte \u015fi din care se pot forma planete. O parte a materiei este ejectat\u0103 de stea sub forma unor jeturi de gaz supersonice.<\/p>\n<p>\n\u00cen ceea ce prive\u015fte stelele masive, acestea emit radia\u0163ie ultraviolet\u0103 \u00een timpul procesului de formare, iar mul\u0163i astronomi au crezut p\u00e2n\u0103 de cur\u00e2nd c\u0103 aceast\u0103 radia\u0163ie distruge discul \u015fi jeturile de materie emise, \u00eempiedic\u00e2nd formarea stelei.<\/p>\n<p>\n<strong>Totu\u015fi, interferometrul de la ALMA a ar\u0103tat c\u0103 aceast\u0103 radia\u0163ie nu afecteaz\u0103 gazele \u015fi praful, marc\u00e2nd o premier\u0103 \u00een ceea ce prive\u015fte o astfel de observa\u0163ie.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\n&#8220;Mul\u0163i astrofizicieni care studiaz\u0103 formarea stelelor au crezut c\u0103 aceste discuri \u015fi jeturi de gaz nu ar putea supravie\u0163ui \u00een momentul \u00een care stelele \u00eencep s\u0103 emit\u0103 radia\u0163ii ultraviolete \u015fi c\u0103 s-ar dispersa rapid.
