  • Melodia zilei: Toby Keith – Red Solo Cup

    Interpretul este Toby Keith, unul dintre cei mai apreciaţi muzicieni de country din SUA, cunoscut îndeosebi pentru textele ironice, uneori sarcastice ale cântecelor sale. Clipul “Red Solo Cup”, regizat de Michael Salomon, a fost văzut de 18 milioane de ori de la publicarea sa în urmă cu un an.

    Piesa a fost înregistrată în august la Paris, marcând prima ocazie în şapte ani când Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts şi Ronnie Wood s-au reunit din nou în studio, după albumul “A Bigger Bang” (2005).

    În afară de “Doom and Gloom”, cei patru au înregistrat pentru “GRRR!” şi o a doua melodie nouă, “One Last Shot”, restul de 48 de piese ale albumului fiind compilate din discografia trupei (de aici şi denumirea de “GRRR!” – de la GRRReatest Hits).

    Albumul a apărut luna trecută, reuşind să urce până pe prima poziţie în topul Billboard la secţiunea albume independente. “Yet Again” este al doilea single al albumului şi a fost lansat în august în format digital.

    Compus de Adele şi Paul Epworth, cântecul a fost încărcat la 4 octombrie pe YouTube, unde a adunat deja peste 2,8 milioane de vizualizări.

  • Melodia zilei: Charlotte Gainsbourg – The Songs That We Sing

    Cântecul, inclusă pe albumul “5:55” din 2006 al Charlottei Gainsbourg, a stat 30 de săptămâni în topul francez al single-urilor, a fost inclus de Rolling Stone pe lista celor mai bune piese din 2007, iar în 2009 a fost folosit pentru coloana sonoră a filmului “The Uninvited”.
